Eldridge Electric Inc. is a local, family-owned company that has proudly served the Brockville area since 1985. With major commercial projects in the pipeline for the next two years, we are looking to add to our team.

We have a unique opening for an experienced Master electrician who can also be a driving force for quality assurance and training on commercial sites.

Please note that we require someone with construction experience who can also demonstrate leadership qualities. You must be willing to travel and may need to stay overnight on a regular basis.

Typical hours are 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Depending on project timelines, you may occasionally be asked to work longer shifts. We schedule all commercial work Monday-Thursday so that you get to enjoy a 3-day weekend.

Our current commercial project sites are throughout Ontario (Petawawa, Golden Lake, Casselman, Pickle Lake). When required to work outside of our local area, fuel & hotel costs are covered by the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure installed electrical systems for commercial construction projects not only meet all ESA requirements, but also correctly follow drawings/blueprints, and any other specifications provided.

  • Keen eye to foresee or troubleshoot electrical issues and provide guidance to electricians on-site.

  • Stay up-to-date on Ontario Electrical Code and safety training guidelines, so that you can coach the crew efficiently.

  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors, GCs, and team members.

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment; reporting issues when they need to be addressed.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Ontario 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician Licence - Master preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of electrical experience in commercial settings.

  • Have extensive knowledge of certifications required for commercial construction projects (you will also have these).

  • Valid Ontario driver’s licence and reliable transportation to our Brockville shop (public transit is not available).

  • Ability to take charge and work as a cohesive part of the team.

  • Willingness to travel within Ontario for large commercial projects.

Job Type:

Full-time (37.5 - 40 hours/week)

Licences/Certifications:

  • 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician Licence (required)

  • Driver’s Licence (required)

Please note that one of our upcoming projects requires Security Clearance — it would be beneficial if you could join the team on this one (we will cover the costs involved in this process).

Work Location:

Travel to sites across Ontario, with a weekly start/end point at our shop location in Brockville, ON. Relocation assistance is not available.
