Eldridge Electric Inc. is a local, family-owned company that has proudly served the Brockville area since 1985. With major commercial projects in the pipeline for the next two years, we are looking to add to our team.

We have an immediate full-time opening for an experienced licensed electrician.

Please note that we are looking for someone who is already a Journeyman or Master Electrician. You must be willing to travel and may need to stay overnight on a regular basis. We do not have any Apprenticeship openings at this time.

Compensation:

$35.00–$45.00 per hour, based on experience and credentials.

Typical hours are 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Depending on project timelines, you may occasionally be asked to work longer shifts. We schedule all commercial work Monday-Thursday so that you get to enjoy a 3-day weekend.

Our current commercial project sites are throughout Ontario (Petawawa, Golden Lake, Casselman, Pickle Lake). When required to work outside of our local area, fuel & hotel costs are covered by the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Install electrical systems for commercial construction projects.

  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide practical solutions.

  • Follow Ontario Electrical Code and safety guidelines.

  • Communicate effectively with site supervisors, GCs, and team members.

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and professional work environment.

Requirements:

  • Must hold a valid Ontario 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician Licence (Red Seal endorsement considered an asset).

  • Minimum 5 years of electrical experience preferred.

  • Valid Ontario driver’s licence and reliable transportation to our Brockville shop (public transit is not available).

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong knowledge of residential, commercial, and/or industrial electrical work.

  • Willingness to occasionally travel within Ontario for larger commercial and industrial projects.

Job Type:

Full-time (37.5 - 40 hours/week)

Experience:

  • Electrical: minimum of 3 years required

  • Commercial construction: 2 years (preferred)

Licences/Certifications:

  • 309A Construction & Maintenance Electrician Licence (required)

  • Driver’s Licence (required)

Please note that one of our upcoming projects requires Security Clearance — it would be beneficial if you could join the team on this one (we will cover the costs involved in this process).

Work Location:

Travel to sites across Ontario, with a weekly start/end point at our shop location in Brockville, ON. Relocation assistance is not available.
